Earphones set in her ears, as usual, Sabrina hummed gently as she walked down the halls of the castle. She had no class today, after all, it was Saturday, and though she could be training for that dumb test on Tuesday, and she should be because, honestly, the leader of a team absolutely has to keep their skills top-notch.
However, Sabrina was too lazy for all of that. She stepped outside, hopping carelessly down the steps, and looked for her second-in-command. Where is he or Phoenix when you need them? Sabrina wondered. Not only was she looking for her second-in-command, but she had also been having a hard time finding her boyfriend that particular day. Probably in his home playing video games if I know Phoenix... The 14-year-old thought, smirking.
Blinking her red eyes, Sabrina shook her head, deciding to sit on the bottom step and wait in case Tsukiko came along.

The blue haired teenager was annoyed. Very annoyed indeed. For starters, it was blazing hot outside and he wasn't a huge fan about heat. It was bearable but not if you were planning on doing a bit of training that day. Tsukiko had got out his scythe and everything then, bam, the heat attacked him as furiously as it could as soon as he stepped out of the door.
In the end, he had done a bit of training but not much thanks to this stupid heat. Then, while in a state of slight annoyance, someone had dared to complain to him about the heat. As if it was his fault that Mother Nature hated them right now! It took everything in his power to control himself from cutting that person into half with the deadly steel weapon.
So, in attempt to escape the heat, Tsukiko made his way to the castle, the scythe resting on his shoulders like a yoke. He did this for the sole purpose of scaring away any annoying complainers. Then, he noticed his young leader by the steps and made his way towards her. She may be younger than him but she was his leader and he respected her.
"Yo. Shouldn't you be studying for a test or something?"

"Psh, as if. Studying is for Sunday in my books. Gaming and chilling are for the other days." Sabrina replied, standing up. Her left hand was in her front left pocket, and she was looking up at her second-in-command, damn. Why's he taller than me? This makes everything unfair.. The 14-year-old thought bitterly. "Besides, shouldn't you be studying for a test?" Sabrina asked with a smirk on her face.
Pulling her iPod out of her left pocket, Sabrina found a better song to listen to, a quieter one, for, after all, she was conversing with someone, and she wasn't about to stop listening to music just for a conversation. Sabrina knew almost every word that came next in the Japanese song; even if she didn't know the meaning to the lyrics, she did love the song, and she was used to hearing it, since the anime it came from Sabrina watched loyally every night, and the next episode coming was the 60th...
Bringing her mind back to reality, Sabrina let out a sigh, "did you say something while I wasn't paying attention?" She asked, not a single apologetic hint in her voice.

"Me? Studying for a test? I haven't studied for anything since I was nine." Tsukiko replied, returning his leader's smirk. It was true. When he was nine he suddenly realized studying was just so boring and he could usually just get by without any studying. Of course he had to learn some cheating techniques and would skim over notes for some of those really important tests that may or may not change your future but that was just about it.
When Sabrina brought out her iPod and zoned out from reality for a bit, Tsukiko took the time to sit down crosslegged on the ground. He placed his scythe flat on the ground in front of him and trailed his finger on the flat part of the well polished blade.
"Nah. I was just thinking about... dogs. Would you want a dog?" he replied with a yawn. He had been thinking about dogs alright. In fact, he'd been thinking about giving his leader two dogs that he had recently tamed.

"Your grades show that." Sabrina replied. She pulled out one earphone and swung it through the air, "a dog, eh? Well, I'm more of a cat person myself, but I suppose a dog would be alright. Are you willing to train one for me?" Putting the earphone back in, Sabrina sat once again on the steps, looking at Tsukiko as she waited for his answer. I suppose he wouldn't ask if he wasn't willing to train one for me, so it was a stupid question, but then again, he could've just asked and doesn't actually want to train one for me.

Tsukiko shrugged. His grades weren't top notch but he didn't care. He was second-in-command, he had his dogs, he had his boyfriend and he was happy. Why should he care about a couple of numbers and letters on a piece of paper when he was content with his life already? It made no sense to the blue haired boy.
In response to Sabrina's question, he pulled out a small golden dog whistle. He tossed the metal towards her and began to speak in his usual calm voice. "I already have two dogs waiting for you. They were a handful but they're good dogs. Two girls, strong but I'm not really focused on training them for fighting... Go call them."
Tsukiko smiled, for some strange reason he only had patience for his dogs. These two dogs were a handful but nothing he wasn't used to. Two beautiful blue greyhounds that could run like the wind. It had been a pleasure to train such spirited dogs and he was happy to give them to the leader of Team Moonrise.

Red eyes narrowing, Sabrina raised an eyebrow and gazed at Tsukiko, "you had them ready for me? What is this? A gift to kiss up to your leader?" She let out a sigh, though she was slightly amused by this, it always did bother her at least a bit when people did things for her because she was leader. It just didn't seem like the right reasons to do things; just because someone's your leader doesn't mean you have to shower them with gifts, does it?
Then again, Sabrina thought, humans never do things for the 'right' reasons. There's always some sort of selfish ambition, even if it is 'help that person', it's still got something serlfish to it. Tightly gripping the whistle, the 14-year-old put it to her mouth, took a deep breath, and pressured her breath out into it.
Before she knew it, there were two blue greyhounds right in front of her, and Sabrina was impressed. She looked back up at her second-in-command and gave him an approving nod, "they do appear to be trained very well. I assume you plan to stay in the team and teach taming when you turn 19, or do you want out of the teams?"

Tsukiko returned the gaze with his steel blue eyes. They were firm but it always seemed like they were looking someplace else, staring at some unknown thing in the air that only they could see. "It's a gift but not with the purpose of 'kissing up to the leader'. Maybe I subconsciously decided to give these girls to you to gain your favor but I do have a deeper purpose. I thought that they could act as your messengers and protectors. This way they'll be less people worrying about you in a dire situation."
The teen smiled a bit at her compliment but his face quickly went serious as Sabrina spoke. Did he want to leave his team and go on with his life? He had never really thought about it, no real reason to actually.
"I plan on staying with the team." he spoke, glancing at his reflection in the blade of the scythe. "I'll be taming dogs and doing my duties as second-in-command until death comes and takes me away. You and Team Moonrise have my complete and utter loyalty until the end. Don't expect anything less of me Sabrina."

"Fair enough," Sabrina said slowly, considering his words. "Very well, then. You're right; they'll definitely prove useful. I assume by only getting the scent of someone and learning their name they could find someone for me? Like if I were to order them to go find you, they could?" She asked, beginning to get excited. "As I said, I've always been more of a cat person, so excuse my lack of knowledge when it comes to dogs."
Stopping her speaking to listen, Sabrina smiled, "you know you can only stay second-in-command until you're nineteen, correct? Once that day comes, you have to either be a teacher or leave the team. Our traditions are slightly unfortunate, but at the same time, they keep us moving; fresh, young blood for the teams, you know?" Chuckling slightly, she added, "you plan on getting married and having kids to take up the taming when you're dead?" It was a crude joke, well, honestly, it wasn't a joke at all, but Sabrina wasn't in the mood to take others' feelings into consideration, and though he was her second-in-command, Tsukiko wasn't an exception.

"Yes. They already know me but I can train them to memorize the scent and name of anyone you wish. Just tell me who and I'll happily train them." Tsukiko replied with a nod.
He kept a stoic expression as his leader spoke. Even though he felt his temper start to rise he stayed unreadable and quiet. When she was done he looked up at her with his blue eyes. Giving her a look that was a mix of sadness, anger, thoughtfulness and some sort of kindness, making it hard to know what he was really thinking.
"Our traditions are unfortunate but not unfair. It's what's best for the team and if it's good for the team I cannot complain." Tsukiko then smiled slightly, his eyes going dark for a fraction of a second. "You know I have a boyfriend, right? We can't have children though we so have the option of adopting."

With a smirk, Sabrina simply said, "Phoenix. You and him are the first two I think of when I need help." Face taking on a serious expression, the 14-year-old replied, "I never said they were unfair. Quite the contrary, really; these traditions have worked for so long that it would be hard for me to cope without them, and it doesn't make sense to change them; after all, the teams have been around for at least a hundred years now, I'd say. Though most people born into the teams, or just raised in them, would feel the same because it's how we are; we grow naturally accustomed to what we're around if we're around it for long enough." Blinking at his next sentence, Sabrina felt her face turn red in embarrassment, "n-no, I didn't know.. I'm sorry; I didn't mean to insult you." She was not the type to lie unless it was to her advantage, and here, it certainly wasn't in Sabrina's best interest to lie; besides, if she really had meant it as an insult, she'd have given a rude remark to the question he just asked, rather than apologizing.

Tsukiko made a mental note to himself to talk to Phoenix later with the dogs. Looks like he would be keeping the dogs for a few more days, just until they knew Phoenix's scent by heart. "Sorry Berry. Looks like you'll have to wait a bit longer until the're gone." he thought to himself, thinking of his blue pitbull. Then, when she replied to him once again, he couldn't help but let one of his rare smiles that he only gave to his dogs or boyfriend form on his lips. When Sabrina spoke like this, he knew that she rightfully deserved to be leader and he was happy to serve her.
"It's fine!" Tsukiko said with a chuckle then smirked. "Tell me, do I seem like the type that would have a boyfriend? No doubt my father would be beyond upset if he was still alive to know about it."

"You definitely don't," Sabrina said carefully, then added, "which is sort of a good thing, probably; I assume you don't get bullied much because you don't flaunt it?" Or do I just have an issue with not being informed about these things? Seems to be the latter, since I've never been the type to gossip.. The 14-year-old thought, taking these things into heavy considering for a few minutes before shrugging it off. "So now what?"

"Yeah. I'm not even gay actually. Just bisexual." he said with a sigh. Tsukiko's mind then started wandering to the two greyhounds who were simply sitting there and he smiled proudly at them. One of the hardest things to teach them was to stay still and they were doing quite a good job at it right now.
"Hmm... I think I should get back to training. It's cooled down enough for my liking." Tsukiko replied while he began to stand up, using his weapon for support. Once he let out a yawn and stretched he picked up his scythe and slid the palm of his hand across the flat side of its blade, turning it into a black robe with chains instead of a rope and a hood. The blue haired teen put on the robe and then the hood. "Well, if you excuse me my lady. I have some business to attend to."
